CHOIR
The Windrush Benefice Choir is looking for new recruits to join our group! We are a super friendly and inclusive choir and would love to invite anyone from the local communities of Sherborne, Windrush, Aldsworth and the Barringtons to come along to one of our upcoming rehearsals and try it out! We’ll be learning some brand new pieces in preparation for the Harvest season…. We perform at the main events of the church calendar throughout the year and come together to rehearse for these. You don’t need to have had choral experience before or to read music , just a willingness to try it out and see what you think. (FYI - we do sing the traditional stuff .. including hymns and carols , but do spice it up with some gospel and modern too!).
If you’d like more info please email Carolyn, the Benefice administrator on: [email protected]
See ya’ all there!

The Windrush Benefice Choir is a friendly and enthusiastic group of people who love to sing and have fun! Most of our members live within the Benefice (Aldsworth, Great and Little Barrington, Sherborne and Windrush), but we also have members from neighbouring villages.
We sing for important festivals and occasional other services throughout the benefice. We usually practise in Windrush village hall or Sherborne church.
We understand that people are able to offer different levels of commitment, so the music planned for services is adapted depending on who is available. Musical styles range from traditional church anthems to modern settings with instrumental accompaniments.
We welcome singers of all abilities and ages. There is no requirement to read music and there are no auditions!
